How to win fans and influence people (?)

Coldplay's new CD comes with detailed rules of the road, at least in the US. Not just rules, but failings: customers are warned that the CD may not play on:
  • any Mac computer
  • some CD players with CD-R capacity
  • some car stereos with satellite guidance systems
  • some portable CD players
  • some DVD players
  • soem CD/LD convertible players
  • some game players
  • some PCs
Oh, and at the end of all that, a simple statement: 'except for manufacturing problems, we do not except product exchange, return or refund'. Ouch.
